By plane
From all over the World more than 32 countries and 48 cities direct flights to Budapest Ferihegy International Airport . All of the main international airlines and the low cost airlines fly direct to Budapest Airport . To get to the city centre you may take the airport minibus, a taxi or a bus line and metro line. On highway
Hungary has excellent highway connections not only with its neighbouring, but also with all European countries and cities.
The Hungarian Bus Company (Volánbusz Rt.) runs regular buses (Eurolines) to more than 15 European countries.

Travelling by car you can enter to Hungary by crossing more than 60 borders, from which 15 are restricted for the citizens of Hungary and neighbouring countries.
To use the Hungarian highways you have to pay a fee. Highway vignettes/stickers can be bought at petrol stations and at some kiosks.

The Hungarian State Railway Company (MÁV Rt.) runs express trains to the main cities of Europe .

By water
You can travel by water from Budapest to Vienna on a hydrofoil from April to end of October organised by the Hungarian Shipping Company (MAHART RT.). The tour takes 6 hours from Vienna to Budapest and 5 hours back.
